I applied the night before the deadline because I have been busy with many applications. With that being said, I know that Colgate is a very competitive liberal arts school so I was wondering if there are any ways I can further show my interest in the school. I really like the school.
I just discovered that Colgate does indeed superscore. 33 English 30 Math 30 Reading 28 Science, assuming I calculated this correctly, this is a 30 superscore correct?
To be honest, Colgate is looking like a high reach for you @btown97. Their average act score is a 32 and their middle 50% is 31-33. Gpa also seems a bit low and your schedule isnt very rigorous. But obviously im not their admissions and they are holistic and might see something, so dont give up hope. This may be harsh but you have been asking for people to chance you a lot and I am giving you my dimes worth
@btown97 congrats on getting in! this may be late but i was just wondering, were you in any regular classes (like not honors)? im only a sophomore, but colgate is my dream school!
@airfire1928 yes I was in plenty of regular courses but also the honors classes listed. I did demonstrate a lot of interest by going to an info session nearby and emailing the admissions staff. I don’t have much to add other than what I provided above. Good luck on the rest of your high-school experience!
In your math honors class in sophomore year, did you have a C as a final grade, or just in a quarter/semester? I’m really paranoid, haha. I think I might get a final grade in the 80s in one of my science class and I’m scared if it’ll affect my chances of getting in.
