Chance me please - (self-proclaimed?) Great ECs, Need Maximum Financial Aid.

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I'm a senior from India and wish to complete my undergraduate studies in US. But, cost is a major factor for me. My yearly family income is ~$15000 (converted from INR). No wonder I'm ready to get loan, my dad can arrange for $10000 per year. I'm, by all means, ready for work-and-study programs. I wish for major in Electrical Engineering (or at worst, Computer Science would be okay too).</p>

<p>My SAT score is 1650 (know it's as pathetic as anything). My score in state-level exam in sophomore year was 95%. We have state-level exam in senior year too, I hope to score 90%+ in it too. I haven't taken the TOEFL (not planning to take it either). But, as the thread title says, I think I have some great ECs (at least for a non-American). Here's more about them ( I've previously asked about these ECs on CC, but it wasn't for the reason I'm asking for now)</p>

<p>I have developed a twitter tool of my own - Tweriod</a> - Get to know when your Twitter followers are online the most., which I recently sold for $5k.</p>

<p>I hope you know what twitter is. This tool is unique and no other tool that uses the same algorithm for providing the analysis it is made for, exists. It has been positively reviewed on sites like TheNextWeb, Mashable (these are top blogs and I'm sure the AdCom will know what it means to be featured on them)</p>

<p>Another remarkable EC of mine is I've been awarded a certificate from the Commonwealth Games' Technical Director for pointing out serious security vulnerabilities in their (crudely, hacked and reported) website (the website was of National (perhaps International) importance). Also, included in the list of my "hacks" are websites of "huge" corporations. I've also been awarded a similar certificate from my city police for fixing the holes in their website.</p>

<p>I wish to know the colleges which would accept students like me: Need financial aid, Have good ECs, low SAT score, fairly-well high school scores.</p>

<p>You’re not getting in anywhere with that SAT score. Especially since you’re an international. Even US citizens with that score are in a bad situation, in terms of undergraduate college admissions, let alone you.</p>

<p>And no, I don’t know what Twitter is. <em>rolls eyes</em></p>

<p>I believe that once you raise your SAT Scores then you can get into some good schools, but I’m not sure which ones offer aid to international students. So I would suggest going to a public university because their tuition is really low.</p>

@Lydia15 I could take a gap year to raise my score (which, I think, I very definitely can). What would be the SAT I, II score requirement for good colleges, then?</p>
