<p>Hey guys, I am a freshman at one of top 10 lac schools. So here's my stat:</p>

<p>High School</p>

<p>SAT: 2260 (730/800/730)
GPA: 3.9/4.0 (2nd place in my class)</p>

<p>EC: -National Latin Exam: Gold Medal
-a researcher in an NGO(wrote an research paper about North Korean Welfare System)
-English Translator in Istanbul Cultural Center
-Teaching Assistant Leader in Korean Language School
-all state choir
-a certificate of JLPT(Japanese language proficiency test) N1, the highest level
-columbia university science honors program
-science olympiad, AIME qualifier, presidential awards.....blahblahblah</p>

<p>College</p>

<p>GPA: 3.79/4.0 (unweighted, top 15%, Honor Roll) (1st semester)
2nd semester midterm grades: 5 As and one B+ (the school does not stipulate a numerical GPA point for a midterm report.) </p>

<p>EC: -worked as a phone-caller at Democratic party office
-school choir
-Asian club member
-researching in another NGO
-English tutor in ESOL. </p>

<p>How competitive am I as a transfer applicant? My major may be East Asian Studies/International Relations. Thank y'all!</p>

<p>Well…I did not specify my institution due to privacy issue (recently found out that MANY of my college friends are active members of Collegeconfidential…-_-;:wink: but it’s in California.</p>

<p>I think you have a great shot if you do not apply for FA. You have perfect test scores and good GPA which is what UPenn looks for in every applicant. Also, its seems that you did not do as much EC in college as in your HS. But I think it’s OK since not so many people can get into leadership positions in their first year. Try to make a convincing essay about why you want to transfer.
