Chance me please! (Unique Case)

Okay thanks so much for your help. Will the UCs known that my UC GPA is lower because I attend a top-ranked private school that does not offer APs?

@skieurope

Here’s another reference point for you… my daughter attends a public high school in California. Her Math Honors classes do not get any extra GPA weighting either. And this is at one of the top ranked public high schools in the state of California. So AP or IB classes are what they give extra GPA points for.

Will they know? Yes; the school profile will tell them that. Will they care? Well, it still does not change the fact that they have decided how they will weight courses. At the end of the day, you need to file it under “It is what it is.”

Hiroshima to 911 may be a social sci alternative st your school. What matters is how any college views it, whether UC or a top private. As stated, it’s not comprehensive.

OP, why business or undeclared when you say you want to be a mental health counselor? Why no current ECs related to helping others, locally, in person? You’ve overcome nicely but how do you explain the turnaround without showing the actions? Be aware of this. UC can like a good challenge/overcame story. But it still has to make sense. Think about that.

I do want to be a mental health counselor, I just copied and pasted my profile from last year (forgot to delete it.)

I guess I’ve never really noticed that. I really want to help people! I wanted to start a college support group, but I feel like people would look at me and label me as something.
