Any college is looking for a unique candidate who is passionate about their education and future. I am sure that with strong essays and credentials you will be successful in your endeavors. Best of luck to you! :)

Applying for financial aid as an international student will ruin your chances at the better UCs. The UC system is fiscally screwed - they want internationals who pay the FULL international tuition. Given that you are not asking for aid, your stats are still subpar for UCLA and Cal. Perhaps stellar essays, recs and ECs may compensate for the lackluster GPA. SAT is below the 50th percentile for Cal/UCLA. Good stats for the lesser UCs though; getting in the other safties should be trivial.

Cornell, Vandy, and even BC also look “reachy” to me. However, you seem quite passionate in many of your ECs. Politics and Philanthropy seem to be your thing. Perhaps if your essays/recs played off this synergy you may still have a >20% chance at these schools + Cal/UCLA.

What did you apply for at Cornell/UMich/NYU?

Hey there guys, I didn’t apply for financial aid for the UCs. Hopefully I do get in to a good school.

For Cornell I applied to the School of Charles Dyson (applied business and economics), for U Mich I applied to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (economics) and NYU Global Liberal Studies for economics.

UMich outside of Ross has a rather high acceptance rate of 50+%. Your stats should be good, and your chances high given that you applied early. This seems to help with rolling admissions. NYU outside of Stern is very doable as well; LSP, more so.

Don’t think you’ll make Cornell AEM though. Tough for internationals. Ross, Stern and Haas are better schools though.
