Chance me please! Will one bad grade hurt me?

So, here's my stats:

I am female and asian from nepal.
I live in California.
2nd gen college student.

I really want to go to uc berkely for chemical engineering!
Will anyone please chance me for any schools that would be a good
match for me ! Thanks for any replies!

Female going into engineering with your stats I think you are high match. Only problem could be that you are in state. Spread your net.

Really? I thought if you were in state you had a higher chance. Other college I had in mind are Cal Institue of tech and stanford (very low chance probably), University of texas austin, uc santa barbara, and u of michigan minneopolis.

I don’t think it will affect you too much. You took AP Calc AB as a sophomore (pretty advanced), you recovered with an A second semester, and you got a 5 on the AP exam, so I wouldn’t worry about it. The rest of your grades are good, too.

I think you chances are pretty good, but engineering at UCB is pretty competitive, so you never know.

It’s hard to chance you for “any schools that would be a match.” It would only really be helpful if you posted a few schools, or at least describe some characteristics you are looking for in schools so others could give you suggestions. By definition, your chances would be good at a match school, but not guaranteed. You stats would fall right into the average accepted range. Lol.

@fatherofm, how is being in-state a problem? If anything, it is easier to get admitted as an in-state student than an OOS student…

Thanks for the replys.
