<p>Hi, Im a Junior going into Senior year. I really want to go to University of Maryland College Park or NYU. My UW GPA is only 3.3 and my weighted is 3.8. However, my GPA is low due to my Freshmen year which is generally the easiest year (I was not trying as much as I should have, I know it sounds like an excuse). My Freshmen GPA was only 2.9. I have medium EC's and 150 hours of community service. My SAT was 2100 flat combined...640 Reading 760 Math 700 Writing. And I'm planning to take Math and Bio subject tests, expecting a high 700's in Math. </p>

<p>Oh, and forgot about class rigor. My Freshmen year had no honors, which is ironic since it is my lowest GPA by far. Sophomore 3 honors classes. Junior, 4 Honors 3 AP-World, Psych, Language. And my next year schedule is 2 Honors 4 AP.</p>

<p>hmm, your sat scores are quite impressive.
even though your gpa is low freshman year if it went up after each year colleges will like that. also i dont think they care that much about the 9th grade gpa (im not sure though)
i think univ of maryland will be a match/target for you and nyu would be a target/reach
