I've been commended for my writing style several times, including once by a college professor, so I feel pretty confident about my essays. As far as teacher recs go, I think I can get two solid, if not excellent ones. Counselor rec will likely be good as well.

Ready, set, go!
Thank you in advance.

bump…

I think you have a pretty good chance with UChicago, WashU, and Northwestern. There were plenty of kids from my small public high school who went to these schools with similar stats. Ivies are impossible to predict since their acceptance rates are sooo low.

I believe you have a good shot with that high act and gpa; look for more oppurtunities this next year to be a leader of some groups and you should stand a firm chance

chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1181068-chance-me-usc-rice-cal-poly.html

Your GPA and class rank is a little low for most of your reach schools. I would expand upon your lower reach and match schools. Financial aid may be a concern but I would consider schools like Duke, Rice, Notre Dame, Boston College, Bucknell, Colgate, Emory, and USC.

Good luck!

I would say you are in at your safeties, matches, Carnegie Mellon and JHU! But the rest you have still have a chance at, the Ivies are not a guarantee for anyone. Also you race will hurt you because there are so many well qualified Asian’s. But i would look at Duke if I were you too!
