<p>I'm new to CC, and I see that there's a lot of this stuff going on. So I guess I'll join in the fun! But seriously, I'd like some feedback please.</p>
<p>General Info:
-Asian male (Indian)
-Illinois
-Rising Senior
-planned major: Biology w/possible minor or double major in Linguistics. also, Pre-Med. </p>
<p>My (long) List thus far:
Reach:
1) University of Chicago

I am not applying to ALL of these schools, I still need to do some narrowing down with my reaches. I will apply to 4 at most.</p>

<p>Does anyone know if any of these colleges do not look at freshman year grades? I know CMU doesn't, are there any others?</p>

SAT II: 670 Math II, 680 Bio, 680 physics (was not prepared at all, retaking these)
ACT: 34 composite (36 English, 32 Math, 34 Reading, 34 Science)
APs: 3 USH, 4 US Gov, 5 English Lang & Comp</p>

3.6ish UW (my school only calculates weighted)
4.41 W
Rank: top 10% in a larger public school
I've taken the most rigorous curriculum my school offers, and I will have taken 8 AP classes and many more honors classes by the time I graduate. </p>
<p>ECs:
-Marching Band (9,10,11,12): well over 1000 hours devoted, leadership position for 2 yrs. season lasts from June-November
-Indoor Drumline (10,11,12): 2nd place in the country
-NHS (11,12)
-Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (11,12)
-over 50 hours of community service participating in various projects</p>
<p>I've been commended for my writing style several times, including once by a college professor, so I feel pretty confident about my essays. As far as teacher recs go, I think I can get two solid, if not excellent ones. Counselor rec will likely be good as well.</p>
