Chance me, please.

Applying to:

UC's: Berkeley, San Diego, Santa Cruz, Riverside

I'm already aware that Berkeley is a pretty far reach/near impossibility with my stats (as well as San Diego to a lesser degree), but I'm just looking for reassurance/tell me not to even hope for them.

UC GPA: 3.58...
ACT: 27
Notable EC's: Rotary Interact, Academic Decathlon, Invisible Children
Intended Major: Astrophysics

Now, assuming I get into all but Berkeley, where should I go for astrophysics? Is UCSC the best option here, or is UCSD? Riverside is my backup UC, and it doesn't offer astrophysics, so I'm planning on majoring in general physics if I only get accepted into that school.

Thanks for reading and chancing me. :)

Where are you from?

If you’re from a CA city or privileged suburb, I’d say forget Cal and SD.

But I have seen low income kids from rural areas of CA that dont send these schools many applicants get into SD with similar stats.

SC us not a safety, but I’d go there if you get in.

I’m from a poor part of LA, and I moved to a privileged suburb with the generosity of my uncle haha. I’ve done all of my high school years in that suburb. So yes, I suppose I should stop hoping.

Alright, thanks.
