<p>Bottom line - Lehigh engineers need strong backgrounds in calculus even before they begin their educations here. Taking only Honors Calc will not completely break your application, but it will make you slightly more less competitive than other applicants who have taken AP Calc AB/BC.</p>
<p>Lehigh typically doesn’t punish students who don’t take APs only when there was no possible way they could have taken them in thie first place. This means that if your school doesn’t offer an AP, you’re not penalized - or if your schedule couldn’t fit a certain AP, you’re not penalized. I’m not sure about your situation, but if you didn’t get the right prerequisite (which I’m assuming was something like trig/precalc), then its not a big deal. However, if you could have taken the prereq and you decided not to, it will hurt you a bit.</p>
