Chance me, please? :)

Hi CC! I would love it if someone could chance me for U of M. I realize that a lack of AP/IB classes will probably set me back, but I'm interested in what your thoughts are.

I'm a white female who will graduate spring 2013

Academics:
Out of State (Ohio)
GPA: 3.95 unweighted, around 4.2 weighted.
ACT Score- 31, but I'm taking it again and based on my practice tests I should get around a 33.
Didn't take the SAT
Top 5-10% of my class (I'm ranked 21 or 22, I believe.)

AP English Lit and Comp- 4
AP Calc. BC- This year
AP English Lang. and Comp- This year
IB Theater- This year

Service:
I'm in NHS and have been in a youth group since freshman year. We do things like building houses, working at food banks, and cleaning up cities and parks.

Extracurricular:
I play the violin and piano.
I'm in both my school orchestra (4 years) and a community youth orchestra (2 years)
I'm Concert Master of my school's orchestra.
I'm in a quartet
I've taught at my school's orchestra summer camp
I've performed in my school's musicals and plays
I ran a show for my school's radio station freshman year
Spanish Club for 3 years

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to look at/answer this!

Match
10 char

how do 20 people at your school have better than a 3.95 unweighted?

^^because they weight the GPA for ranking. My kid’s school has a straight ranking and a weighted ranking. They pick the top 20 using the weighted rankings. The kids at this point (going into senior year) have no idea of the weighted ranking. The school does the rankings in senior spring, then announce the top 20, to get there the school adds .1 for each advanced class and adds a factor of the ACT score. You would not be in the top 20 with zero advanced classes and you might not be in the top 20 if you totally bomb the ACT which would be a rare occurrence since the top kids generally do well on the ACT.

Oh yeah, duh.

Sorry I’m a moron. My high school did/does that too.

Thanks for the replies, everyone!
