I asked several teachers for recs and i'm confident that my essays will be pretty decent. Based on that, what do you think my chances will be.
Schools are:

1.. Purdue University
2. University of Wisconsin, Madison
4. University of Michigan, Ann Harbor (Nov 1st)
5. Boston University
6. Ohio State University, Columbus
9. University of California, Berkeley
10. UCLA
11. Penn State University
12. University of Chicago
13. University of Rochester

I don’t think any of those schools are out of the question, but I think you also need to post your uw gpa because it is much more telling than your weighted gpa. Are you applying E.D. to U Mich? If so, I think your chances of getting in are pretty high. UC berkley and UCLA would be a stretch if you don’t apply to those schools ED, but you could still have a chance. This is assuming that your unweighted gpa isn’t really a 3.1 or something, but even then you’d have a chance at these schools if you applied ED.

As I read these posts, every kids seems to be over the top. When do you sleep?

Also, I do agree about grades. Some schools won’t even consider you unless your unweighted GPA is above 3.9.

All the academic measures saying basically the same thing – very good student, but not a stand out. Even though your schools does not rank, do you know does it report your decile (most will do that) and if not in top 10% Chicago and Berkeley/UCLA OOS are pretty much out of the question)? Also, are you taking calculus b/c and an ap science and language senior year.

Assuming top 10% and rigorous curriculum, my guesses are:

Chicago = low reach with really good essays (33 - 50%)

UCLA, Berkeley = low reaches

Michigan OOS = low match (50 to 66%)

The rest are matches (66 - 90%) with PSU and Purdue being safeties (above 90%)

Sorry I forgot to add my senior workload.
Currently i’m taking AP chem, AP Psych, AP Lit, Calc AB, and German 4 accel., as well as several other electives.
My unweighted GPA is ~3.5 as i took several electives as a freshman and sophomore, which i forgot to take pass/fail so they brought down my GPA by a bit. I’m still unsure about the rankings, there’s nothing on our transcripts about it. They got rid of the rankings this year, I believe I was around the top 15% before.
