EDIT: It looks like I gave you similar chances as the guy above (oh, that’s your friend, ha cute). I don’t think any college will truly be out of your range. GL and if you want anyone to help read over/edit/critique your essays when the time comes, feel free to PM me (I’m already into college and am curious about this “damn good writing” :D). Peace!

Ha thanks. Yes my essays should be good, Im hoping they appeal to the admissions people as well. Also I forgot to mention (one of my bigger extracurricular) I am a 4 year member of peer jury and currently a senior juror, in addition I am in my school’s NHS club.

Thanks and anyone else pleeeease

im not sure how much essays help. for example if your a 2050 SAT, 50/500 in the class, average ecs but have sick essays, will you have a shot at a school like harvard. all i can say is that this kid is a sick writer, back when we went to school together his papers would get used as examples and our english teacher had him teach the class in writing styles and techniques

im an aspiring journalist/writer myself. my stats were below most of the schools i applied to, but i truly believe my essays are what got me in (i also had a story to tell). that said, i applied to many liberal arts schools and none like harvard. i don’t think the situation above would guarantee admission to harvard. however, good stats COMBINED with a killer essay definitely could. just remember that a great essay for a college like harvard isn’t just going to be about how well you write (stylistically or otherwise). you have to distinguish yourself with WHAT you write. just my 2 cents ha (sorry if im sounding preachy/obvious).

well than il have to own these essays. I’ll have to choose something im passionate about and I think I have a few things in mind.

Will someone else please chance me!

Jodie Harrison? I did that when I was a kid…

small world o_o

Jodie harrison?!?!??!?!?

Williams- yes
Pomona- idk much about the school so I can’t say.
Stanford- idk, its a long shot
Duke- most likely
Georgetown- most likely
Cornell- maybe
MIT-… reach
Rice- yes
Boston College- yes
Northwestern- yes
Middlebury- yes
Dartmouth- maybe?
Illinois (Champaign)- definitely
Harvard-…
Princeton-…
Brown- maybe?
Columbia- …

hey thanks

can anyone else please chance me

damn with that business making over 30,000 you have quite a chance! of course, there are no guarantees, ivies are reaches for everyone etc etc.
But you are most definitely a high contender for all the schools on your list. Just continue what you’re doing!

Thanks a lot.

Can anyone else rate my chances pleeease

I think most of the estimates here are ridiculous. Your application is perfect. You have great grades/SATs, awesome extra curriculars, and then you wrap it up with a very successful business. Sure, schools like MIT are a reach for anyone, but provided you have good essays and extracurriculars, you’re in.

why thank you very much. Can someone else chance me pleeeease

bumpppp please chance me!
