Oh wow, that was incredibly absent-minded of me... I had it written down and forgot to type it.

Okay, here we go:

Yale
Dartmouth
Duke
Harvard
Stanford
Brown
Princeton
Northwestern
Georgetown
University of Chicago
Bowdoin
Amherst
University of Pennsylvania (Wharton)
Notre Dame
University of Pheonix Technical College (lol)

Ok, I would caution you to take out any and all ECs that you only did freshman and/or sophomore year so no cross country or marching band, etc.

You've got a really good ACT score. But these are your only legitimate ECS:

-DECA President and state champion in individual and project events
-FBLA President
-3 years on swim team
-President of Political club
-Newspaper Staff/ Copy Editor
-Forensics 9-12
-participated in German exchange program (hosted a student and went to Germany)
-State champion in essay contest

And even then, most kids who put newspaper will be editors and what does your political club do? You've got A LOT of stuff going on and I have trouble imagining that you are deeply involved in all of it.

You're a good applicant and being from Wisconsin is a nice boost. But I'd still put Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Princeton as pretty big reaches. They're like that for anyone. And you are a white male in National Honor Society. They could, unfortunately find plenty of other versions of you.

That said, you're in a really good position for Bowdoin, Amherst, Northwestern, Notre Dame, and Duke.

Your list is all over the place in terms of "feel" and "personality." It's okay if you don't know what you want yet, but some of these schools are antithetical to each other. Brown and Notre Dame, for example.

I have carefully considered the list of colleges, but I do aknowledge that they are in some cases incongruous.

As far as my EC's, I can demonstrate a deep involvement with a heavily political focus. I'm glad you mentioned it, because that was an objective in posting in this forum- finding what needs to see the cutting room floor.

Thanks for the feedback so far. Any further advice?

Yale: High Reach (as for anyone)
Dartmouth: Reach
Duke: Low Reach
Harvard: High Reach (as for anyone)
Stanford: High Reach (as for anyone)
Brown: Reach
Princeton: High Reach (as for anyone)
Northwestern: Low Reach
Georgetown: Low Reach
University of Chicago: Low Reach
Bowdoin: Low Match/Match
Amherst: Low Reach
University of Pennsylvania (Wharton): High Reach (as for anyone)
Notre Dame: Match
University of Pheonix Technical College (lol): Assuming this is your safety.

What does low reach mean? I'm feeling fairly confident about decent chances of acceptance at those schools, so I'm curious whether or not my assessment is correct. Thanks for laying it out school by school! (:

University of Pheonix has a 100ish% acceptance, it was trown on as a joke to the above posts...

But, I DO have to side with ses for once. You have A LOT of EC's, so I'd try to focus in on some of them and throw out any that you truely aren't comitted to.

If I can let the world in on a bit of advice... colleges hate it when you list EC's just for the hell of it because just because "you did it".

The thing is, I am a key player in all of those EC's. I'm not kidding, either. I really am involved pretty deeply in all of them, extremely deeply in others. During winter, I am going 16 hours a day, because I love this stuff, and I really enjoy being active. If this board thought I have too many EC's, admissions probably will. I have to find a way to show how active I am in all of them.
