In my opinion–
Your SAT is above the average range
Your GPA is below the average range.
You’re a white kid-------- what does this have to do with admission?
Great essay, everyone writes a great essay.
As a junior, try to enroll in all AP / honors courses on your last semester to increase overall GPA.
Chances as of now, under 33 %.

I sincerely hope that you make it and putting aside the joking,
enrol in as many AP courses as you can because AP classes
can significantly raise your overall GPA thus increasing your chances
at acceptance.
If you do make it, I’ll give you my Red1 parking pass as UFL
police don’t check the experation dates.

81.2% of kids that applied with above a 4.0 UF GPA were accepted. 72.4% of kids whose SAT’s were in the 1950-2100 range were accepted. From your GPA and SAT scores alone, you have the average of those two to be a 76.8% chance of acceptance.

76.8% chance of acceptance based on two factors. Your high class rank and your commitment to band and tennis raise that chance. CONSERVATIVELY, I would say you have an 80% chance of acceptance. I would recommend you take as many AP’s as you can your senior year just for good measure.

@ilovethe47, why do you continue to spread false information?

I really get confused how these random numbers come out “you have x% chance to get accepted” lol; trying to come up with a % chance of acceptance when it’s holistic admissions…I don’t get it, it doesn’t make sense lol

@Sabertooth, i’m pretty sure they mean solely based on numbers they have a “so-andso%” chance… Of course it’s holistic, but we’re just doing the best we can with what we solidly know lol :D

@Cens10: fair enough lolol, I prefer just saying excellent, great, good, or slim chance. More accurate heh, but at least a number of you guys try to put some effort in coming up with a % lol and that’s respectable (much better than pulling random numbers from air lol

Why is a 640 troublesome? I got a math score lower than that and I’m performing quite well in my math class (and even in chemistry and physics).

As far as I’m aware, many students who pursue math majors at UF opt out when it comes the the theoretical perspective. Math in high school is a lot different, I should say.
