Chance me please!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thankyou!

How much can your parents pay? What state do you live in?

By NYU I assume you mean PINYU?

Cornell is a high to impossible reach but you can try just to say “I tried”.

UT Austin: probably not possible since you’re not 7% for the sciences, and it’s even harder for engineering.

Rice is a reach but possible.

Missouri Tech, CO School of Mines, SMU : match

UBC = high reach (they like to see all 5s on the AP exam, or 700+ on each SAT test)

A big unknown with your list is financial aid (need based? merit?) If you’re full pay it may help you at the public universities since they’re so cash-strapped (in some states funding has been cut by 1/3 or more) that they’ll give preference to full pay applicants who meet the basic minimum criteria. Other public universities, like the UCs, figure it’s not their problem if they admit you and you can’t pay the $50,000 cost.
