Chance Me Please

I turned in my regular decision application a few weeks ago. I starting to get nervous about what the outcome will be. Please chance me.

GPA: 3.7 (received B's in sciences class and one math class)
ACT: 33 (34 super-score)
Four AP classes out of six that are offered.

Vice President of my class all four years, also publicity officer this year
Member of a local non-profit's board of directors.
Youth mentor for non-profit
Student tutor
National Honor Society member
Varsity tennis all four years
Mock trial team- placed high in state competition all years
DECA- attended state
I've also won a few art awards.

I live in a small mountain town in Colorado and I do need financial need. Thanks for the help.

Good stats Lismetz. Colorado town will help. Financial need is NOT a factor. Two things that may sway your application are: How competitive was your High School and do your presentation, essays and ecs paint a compelling picture of your uniqueness. That is, is there a topic that you were passionate about and involved in that comes through in your application? Overall, I think lots of schools would love to have you. Haverford may be it, but it’s not a lock.

You sound like a strong 'Ford candidate. Come back and let us know the results!

Thanks, the letters are in the mail so I should be finding out whether or not I got in soon.

Unfortunately, I was rejected. I just got the letter today.

Ahh I know what rejection feels like. One of my top colleges rejected me and I was sad about it for the next day or so since I really thought I had a shot and was imagining myself at that school for the past few weeks. After a day or two of looking at my other options, I was able to accept it and move on. Now I’m just super excited to chose between the amazing schools I got into!

Make sure to go explore the accepted students website and Facebook pages (one of the best things ever! Ive already chatted with so many awesome, friendly and interesting people!) for whichever college you get into.
