Chance me please?

Lately I've been doing some research on public ivy leagues, and I fell in love with the College of William and Mary. What are my chances of going there? (I go to a high school in northern VA so I'm in state and I'm currently a sophomore so I haven't taken the SAT yet but I'm taking SAT prep classes over the summer)

Academics
My weighted GPA is a 4.31 and my unweighted GPA is a 4.0. My GPA for this year is a 4.6.
I'm taking the most challenging courses I can take; I'm taking all honors and AP World History. I have straight A's (always had straight A's) and 4-5 A+'s for the year average so far. I plan on taking AP U.S History, AP Psychology, and AP Lang and Comp and all honors for the rest of my classes next year. Senior year I plan on taking AP Lit, AP Chem, AP French, AP Calculus BC, maybe AP Bio, and all honors for my other classes.
I'm in the top 5-10% of my class.

Extracurriculars and Achievements
I'm taking out my study hall next year to be a teacher assistant for my French teacher because I'm a leader in my French class and I adore the French language and culture.
I'm in the National French Honors Society, National Science Honors Society, and I will be in the National Honors Society next year (only juniors and seniors can be in this organization).
I'm in Key Club
I'm in French Club
I have over 100 hours of community service.
I tutor some of my fellow classmates. I also participate in project SOAR which is when a group of students go over to the nearby middle school and tutor students in science or math. We also help the middle schoolers perform experiments and we try to spread awareness of the importance of science (we try to help our community through science).
I'm in UNICEF club and we are one of the schools that have raised the most money in the nation to donate to countries stricken with poverty or countries that have suffered from natural disasters (Philippines, Haiti,etc.).
I adore music; I sing (I got into District Choir this year which is my first year in chorus), I've been playing the piano for 9 years, I've been playing the guitar for 6 years, I've been playing the violin for 5 years, and I recently learned how to play the ukulele. I've performed at charity events and a wedding.
I love to help my community as much as I can; I've participated in Grace Ministries (I helped give out food and living necessities to the less fortunate) and I've also participated in Pancake Breakfast at the local volunteer fire station. (Help to cook food for the community and fire fighters).
I'm in debate.
I will be a co-captain/co-founder of the Badminton Team next year.
I got the academic excellence award and I'm hoping I'll get it every year.
I got the "varisity" academic letter.
I plan on working at a dentist office this summer.
I'm volunteering for the red cross this summer and will try to continue to tutor students over the summer.

Although I'm not in a lot of clubs, I'm passionate in what I do and if I get accepted into William and Mary, I'll try my best to contribute as much as I can to the community :)

Varsity*

aim for 2100+ and u should get in

Chancing is really out the window nowadays - i looked at naviance and saw my ‘chances’ at certain schools with my credentials and did NOT get onto ones which per navianc stats i should have either been a shoe in for or likely to get in. if you are a top student its all the luck of the draw now for the top tiered schools.

@streetcred‌ some schools focus on the essays as well! Or maybe people are being too nice/easy on who they’re chancing.

Yes I know that but if you saw the article in times last week about Stanford and their 5% acceptance rate , it is a very sobering experience knowing you are a top student and its getting tougher and tougher because the competition is fierce even within your own high school. The common app has made it so much easier for kids to apply to schools just because it is so easy - even if they think they wont go there. Trust me I know from experience!! If your friend applies to a school you are applying to and he has no intention of going there cos its really a safety school to him, he’s getting in and you aren’t even though he has no intention of going there (cos it easy, to add another school to his 20 he already applied to). I am going by my experience being in the top 5% of my class and not getting into schools that looked like a shoe in for me based on my stats… This whole experience has left em feeling somewhat dismayed. Got some advice a while back ‘LOVE YOUR SAFETY SCHOOLS’. Glad I love my safety cos if I didn’t I would be miserable right now…

@xxteafanexx - good for you for starting to look as a sophmore – just try to get those SATs up as high as you can, stay away from the bad kids and focus, focus, on the future - ( i think what hurt me from getting merit at one school was my SATs of 2090 - 2100 would have scored me merit like it did my friends. Sounds like you are on the right track and I wish you the best!!

Don’t be confused by the Naviance stat. You need to know not only the stat of the students who got in, but also the stat of students who did not. For top schools, they may have a mid 50 SAT of 2200-2350 for admission while many more students within this score range got rejected.
