Hi I am currently a junior in high school and my grades aren't that great. I'm wondering if I have a shot at Clark.
My GPA is a 2.2 and my SAT scores are a 1790.
Break down is 600 Critical Reading, 570 Math, and 620 on Writing.

I have a ton of extracurriculars and do a lot in my community.
All of my classes are honors or advanced placement.
I have a medical condition that caused me to miss majority of my time in school which is why my grades are so low. I plan to explain that in my essay.

Chance me please?!?!?

The fact that you are a junior means you still have time to improve, an upward trend is always a good sign, and right now your GPA is your most detrimental aspect, while your SAT score is slightly below average, but remember, Clark is test optional.
If you can really convey a reasonable explanation for your low grades (hopefully the medical condition will do that), then the GPA may not be as big of a deal, but also note that in the past couple of years, Clark has gotten significantly more selective.
Community involvement and extracurriculars, especially if you hold leadership positions in things you have been dedicated to over the course of all your high school years, will definitely help, but also remember that TONS AND TONS of extracurriculars does not look good compared to a few extracurriculars that you have invested a lot of time and dedication to.
Overall I really can’t say for sure either way. Honestly, even with an explanation, that GPA is going to hurt you, so I’d say really focus on improving, even if that means not taking ALL honors/AP courses.
Good luck with everything!
