When did you apply? That will make a big difference…

I applied in January

@jlhpsu I applied in the beginning of January.

Hello. My company hires both PSU and Drexel grads. Both have excellent academic programs but with very different campus atmospheres. Given the highly competitive year I would consider taking the Drexel scholarship money and focus on that opportunity. You can’t go wrong with either university. Good luck.

@ksp0597 So you should get a decision by the end of February I think. When you apply after priority deadline (which was Nov. 30th) the criteria for entrance rises and your competition is stronger. And this has already been a very competitive year! Even DUS has been pretty competitive this year with many people deferred to a branch campus with UW GPA’s like yours. However, your Weighted is good. It truly depends on how your school weights grades. You didn’t post your standardized test scores. If those are high you probably have a decent shot. If you can wait on your Drexel acceptance, then I would wait. At least you have that in your back pocket. Then you can hear from PSU and decide between both. VERY different environments, but even with the scholarship to Drexel the price is probably a little higher than PSU, right?

@jlhpsu‌
yes :frowning: it is still almost 50,000…
Oh and my mistake! My sat is 1910 composite!

That’s a good SAT for DUS. I’d wait it out and see what happens. Drexel is super expensive…

Yeah, wait and see what happens with PSU. My son was offered Drexel scholarship last year, too. It was stilllll way crazy expensive. We decided to cross them off our list for financial reasons.

COA with offer started at $68,000 before any scholarship was applied. It might be higher this year since tuition does go up yearly.
