Please chance me for Penn State University Park fall entry?

Hey guys. Waiting for a decision from them has been causing me some anxiety so I just wanted to hear all of your opinions. So please chance me.
Weighted GPA- 4.08- (Only one asked for on application)
UW GPA- 3.45 (NOT asked for on application, psu does not have this on file)
ACT- 26 :frowning: (27 superscore)

AP’s/ Honors Classes- On the application, it asks for how many total AP classes/ Honors classes you have had throughout high school and the max you can put is 20, I actually have had 20.
TOTAL AP’s- 8 + (4 my senior year) so that is 12 TOTAL if you count senior year.
Honors Classes- 5 + 3(my senior year so that is 8 total)

Essay: Very Strong
Legacy Status: my father went and graduated from there (so yes)
Residency: Out Of State
Major: POLITICAL SCIENCE (Lib arts)- I spoke to a lady on the phone about if I should switch to DUS and she told me that Lib Arts may be even easier to get into than DUS so to just keep it. I’m not sure is that accurate?
Interest level shown by contact with them and essay- VERY HIGH
Grade Trend- UPWARD

My main concern is that my high school is extremely competitive, one of the most competitive in the state and I know there are some kids with higher stats than me applying there. While I AM in the top 25 precent of my class, Will psu not take me because they only want to take a certain number from my school?

Thanks Guys!

Oh yes and I am sorry I know I posted this before a very long time ago, but I cannot seem to find the post! It must have been deleted? Anyways guys thanks for replies whenever u get the chance.

Penn State has rolling admissions so if you applied early you have a really good chance with your stats. If you do not apply early you lose your best chance. My son was accepted by them on November 5 a few years ago (OOS from a very competitive high school).

@timemanager wow that early? What were his stats? and yes I did apply early.

SAT: 780 writing, 760 math, 640 verbal. GPA 3.93 UnW, 4.34 Weighted. 3 varsity sports. Only 3 APs.

Yes, he was accepted at PS main campus that early on November 5. SAT: 780 writing, 760 math, 640 verbal. GPA 3.93 unweighted, 4.34 weighted. 3 varsity sports. Only 3 APs. He did not go there though.

Well that’s why he got in so early lol. Those stats are incredibly high.

Yes, liberal arts tends to be relatively easier to get into. Your stats are a good match, so yes you should get in for Fall. If you are interested in political science, look into SODA .
