Hey guys, would really appreciate it if anybody took the time to read my resume and chance me.
I am from Northern California which from what I know is an extremely competitive area in terms of academics.

-First Generation Asian
-Moved here ~6 (Preschool)
-Moved back to China ~10 to International School (Middle of 4th Grade)
-Moved back here ~14 (Freshmen year) to a decently competitive School district

-Volunteering: I do an okay amount of volunteering amount to about 70 hours right now.

Description: The club explores a student’s interest in engineering and mechanical devices such as Rocketry and Drones.

To be honest, I don’t really have any worth noteworthy achievements.

Internship
I interned in China for a leading mobile company and joined a team of professional coders and coded parts of the phone’s default apps/system.

Honestly I understand that my gpa is insanely low for a lot of the top tier colleges, I know my test score is decent but not “Legendary Tier”, my ECs are okay but not enough to save me.
At this point I’m hoping my lord and savior “Michael Phelps” can help me get into a good college.

Applying for Computer Science & Engineering and Finance for some schools
-Main priority: Computer Science & Engineering
-Second Priority: Finance

UCM: Safety
UCR/UCSC: Match-High Match
SCU/UCI/UCD/UCSB: Low Reach
UCSD/UCLA/UCB/USC: Reach
Harvey Mudd: High Reach

GPA is definitely the biggest problem with your application especially for Engineering. Very good test scores which shows you are a very capable student but for many schools it is not enough to over come the GPA.

I like your special talents. You should capitalize on them and apply to colleges that will value your sense of humor, along with your stats. Have you thought about LACs? Asians are underrepresented at many LACs, and they hand pick their students.

BU might be a possiblity. NE is notoriously deferring people with stats like yours. NYU, maybe,but they are shockingly bad for aid. Ivies and Mudd, sorry, forget it. UCs, as above^. Your GPA is your main obstacle, and you need other safety and match schools.
