Chance me please

UF is my all time favorite school, and I’m really worried if I will get in or not. I want more than anything to get into UF and be a gator. I know my GPA is pretty bad, but I’m in IB and the hard courses made me get more B’s than A’s in general, I also had personal issues in my sophomore year that I discussed in the additional information box on coalition, that caused by grades to be lower than usual that year, as both my grandparents were sick and died. Also, is there anything else I can do to improve my chances at this point?

Are you first generation college attendee? The FSU shift this year - seemed a lot more competitive - is giving me pause that if anyone doesn’t fit in the middle 50% range for GPA and Score, they may not get accepted. FSU shocked a lot of people. Also, there are record number of applications to these schools. I think you have a lot of good points. My only concern is the GPA which is the same concern I have for my son. I know UF is a dream of yours, so I hope you get in. Often, the path not of our choosing ends up to be great, too. Make the most out of what is presented to you. You should be proud of yourself!
