I'm applying to Penn (mainly huntsman --> wharton) ED, although I'm pretty worried about it because my GPA's pretty low. Hopefully, I'll write some really good essays and (extreme) luck will be on my side. If I don't get into Penn, I'm trying for Columbia, Dartmouth, NYU Stern, UMich, UChicago, Georgetown and UVA.

Excellent standardized tests, although top 15% is a bit low, as you are aware of.

Your ECs are few, but you hold leadership positions in nearly all of them, which is much better than being involved in everything and standing out in nothing.

You have a decent shot (to say the least) at everyone of your choices.

Also, if Alternate Violinist means what I think it does (that you didn't actually make the All-State Orchestra), then I wouldn't put in on your application.

thanks :)

& i'm saying maybe top 10%, for sure top 15%, based on my unweighted gpa since, at my school, there are always the super bright kids who take all regular classes and no APs/honors and get a 4.0 GPA. if it were based on weighted gpa, that'd be a different story altogether.

would it help at all if i'm a year younger than everyone else in my grade or does that really not matter? bump.
