Chance me please!*!*!*!

Hi im using my twins user name…but I dont think she’ll mind

So my question is

I currently am a senior in hs and I wanted to know what my chances are in getting into UCD as a woman studies major

my UW gpa is 3.0something - im not actually sure very low though… but a little above 3 …i previously said 3.28, but thats my unwieghted gpa including freshman yr

my W gpa is 3.6 ----I know …still pretty bad

my ACT scores
overal : 28
math: 26 – I know…thats bad
english: 30
reading: 35 --the only thing Im proud of
science: 22 — I know…what happened…oh i know…im really bad in science

I created my own woman’s issues magazine …w/my sister …but I didnt include that she helped me create it in my app since she she only helped me fundraise for it
I have been editor of my school newspaper for 2 yrs
I was editor of my school magazine
I am founder of president of an organization that deals with helping the poor and needy
I have taken courses at a UC dealing with woman studies
I am vp of a club that deals with woman’s issues
interned for my city’s newspaper

I will have taken 7 APs by the end of this yr

AND…I applied as a Woman Studies major…which is Gender Studies…I cant remember if this school considers it gender studies or woman studies…some schools call the major gender studies and some call it woman studies

I know my stats are pretty bad …but do I have a chance of getting in because very few people apply as a woman studies major???

the thing Im scared about is that this major goes under college of L&S…and so many people apply for majors in that college…so does it even matter that I applied as a woman studies major…a major barely anyone applies with/for…or will that work in my advantage?

are you IS or OOS?

IS, i think you have a 60-40 chance or so, probably admit if you write good essays.

yes im in state

UCs don't look at the major you choose (unless its like, engineering or an impacted major) So, there really is no benefit to declaring a major unless you are super sure that you want to stick with it. I'm not sure how it works if you get accepted and then you can transfer to another one in 2 years...
