Other Factors, hook?: My brother is an alumni, my econ h teacher rec is also a usc alumni who also wrote a teacher rec for my alumni brother.

Concerns: USC is my top choice, but I'm perfectly happy with UCLA, UC Berkeley, and UCSB. My test scores and EC's are what worries me most.

Your grades, class rank, teacher recs, and ethnicity are your very strong points. As you mentioned, your test scores and ECs are, unfortunately, well below USC's average accepted student. How did you do on AP exams last year? If you scored well, it may help convince the adcoms that you can do college level work. Your outcome may also be influenced by your major/school applied to. Best of luck.

I thought schools don't consider your grades on AP exams in admitting you to their school?

Well, I failed US History, got a 3 in Spanish Language, and a 5 on Stats.

Didn't take English Language because the teacher was so bad....... we watched more (casual) movies then we wrote essays.

Just wondering... did you report those AP scores? Even US History?

I think I only reported my passing AP scores.
