Those C’s in geometry may hurt you, along with some of the B’s. USC really cares about SAT scores and GPA. Your SAT scores are OK for the school. They seem about average. Your ECs are ultimately irrelevant. Everybody thinks they have outstanding ECs.

An admissions officer told me the 3 things they first look at are your test scores, GPA, and the high school you’re from. If those are all good (above their averages), they read on to your essay and extracurriculars. If your SAT/GPA is not good, they’ll still read your essays and activities, but those would have to be absolutely amazing to overcome their newly-formed prejudice.

Lastly, being Indian won’t help you.

Your SAT score is great… mine was 1900 and i got in.
Shoot for at least a 3.8 gpa
challenge yourself senior year, take 5 AP classes at once and get a job

Thanks for the advice  I am taking 6 APs next year!
