I currently just began my second year at CCSF.
I am planning to apply for transfer this fall but my current cumulative GPA is not that great. I am retaking a class I had failed so that should boost my grade up from a 2.77. I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering and I want to transfer to UCSD, UCI or SLO. What are my chances? What GPA do I need to get this semester to be admitted to these schools? Preferably UCSD.

For Engineering at UCs, I believe you need to have most of your prereqs done, just focus on that, and also boost up that gpa by working harder in your classes, whether it be doing some more problems or getting the professor to help you or ask the right questions in class, or form study groups

I believe you can sign tag for engineering at UCs, but there are some restrictions like you need a certain gpa and courses completed before you apply for it. look into that if you want to secure a spot

I forgot to mention that I am getting most of my prereqs done. By the time it comes to transfer I will be shy 1 or 2 prereq classes.
