Other info:
Freshman year there was an incident in my family where my father got lost while he was vacationing in India and that whole year it was a huge mess over here. I think that's why my grades were much lower. Also I was born in India, English is not my first language nor the language spoken at home. I am the only student in my school to start with Algebra 1 freshman year and end with Calc BC senior year. I am also the only student to take 4 Higher Level IB classes and one of few to take two IB science classes in one year.

Progress is always good, as with your math classes. But you really have way more B’s than you should have, and your GPA should be higher. SAT scores should be slightly higher in the math and CR parts, most colleges don’t look too heavily on writing.

“I really want to go to Duke but here are my stats.” The fact that you put the “but” in there means you have some doubts in your mind, and I would say they are correct. If it is your absolute favorite school, apply so that you don’t regret not doing so later, but definitely make sure you have many other schools that you would be happy at, your chances aren’t too good.

Yes I know I have a horrible GPA that’s why I put the but. Does Duke require subject tests? I really don’t want to take them and would much rather take the SAT I over again.

Are you sure you calculated the GPA’s correctly? (I may be wrong on this if pre-IB gives you extra points on the GPA)

SAT definitely retake. I think 2 subject tests are REQUIRED…even if they aren’t required for Duke i’m sure they’re required for most private universities.
