Chance Me Please?

I'm a Caucasian female from the east coast looking at Boston College, Villanova, Boston University, Brown, Yale, Columbia College, Ohio State, and Rutgers. Granted I'm only a sophomore with big, most likely unreachable dreams, but I'm curious to see what you think.

I've yet to take the SATs, but was above average on the PSATs. I know the schools that I really would love to get into are somewhat unattainable, but what do you think the odds are for me so far? Thanks!

There is nothing wrong with your dreams! Top 2% with a 4.0? Keep your grades up and get good SAT/ACT scores and your schools are all within reach. Get some good diverse ECs built up. Ivies are a long shot for just about anyone but every year a few thousand long shots get in. Keep up the good work and stay focused on your goals.

Oh, and I’m co-editor of my school’s yearbook, will be copy editor of the school paper next year, play Varsity softball, manager of the field hockey team, and am president of the Free Lancers writing club at my school. I also tutor kids every week at a local school and am an assistant leader of 2 girl scout troops.

Thank you PAVenturer for the advice! :)

I think you’re on track to preparing an excellent college application. With decent SAT scores and solid EC’s you should have a chance wherever you apply :)

Take a look at my stats?

What was your score? Anything 145+ is above average, so that does not help much.

^I am asking that question as well

What about your ECs? Do you have anything that you’re passionate about? that will really help you out in the process. Your grades are definitely excellent though.
