Chance me please

-I'm a sophomore and I'm interested in either going to college for nuclear engineering or political science, both interest me.

I'm in the top 10% of my class with a 97 GPA as a freshman and i didn't take school seriously and so far as a sophomore my GPA is a 100 and this is weighted and i don't know how to put those numbers in GPA style format.

So far I have taken 12 Honors Classes(2 of them were half year classes) and 3 electives.

[Sports] I made varsity soccer (bench player) and tennis( #1 singles) as a freshman and obviously sophomore, and run the one mile in indoor track where i hit times of 5:15's.

I plan on running for vice president for my class for junior and senior year, most likely will win.

I plan on joining NHS at the end of this year and eventually in the future running for president or some position.

-If I decide to go down the political path I'm thinking George Washington University where my two grandparents on my mom's side went to and my mom also went to.

-Reaches most likely not gonna happen JHU and Duke

-Any advice on the schools or anything.

Since your name is Ivyleague whatever, I’m going out on a limb and saying you aren’t all that interested in GW. Right?

Your GPA, class rank, and test scores (SAT I and II, ACT) that you will be taking junior year, will be the best barometer of your chances. Re-post once you’ve got these stats in-hand.

Im actually not interested in ivy league schools i know i dont have a chance with them. I just wanted a vague screen name.

I’m really interested in GW but I dont know about the money.
I’m also interested in American.

Hi! I was just wondering if you guys could help me find out what I need to focus on in the next year (I am a sophomore).

-I am a white middle class male from North Jersey Suburbs.

-I attend Bergen County Academies (#37 public school in nation. I don’t know if they look at how prestigious schools are).

-I have a GPA of 3.8 (my school does not use weighted GPAs) and I am likely to maintain it for the next two two years. Also all of my classes are automatically honors or above.

-I took two PSATs and scored about 2050. I plan on taking test prep courses for ACT and SATs.

-I plan on taking a few IBs (my school focuses on IBs much more than APs), but have yet to decide on which ones. I am definitely taking IB History though.

-I am involved in my class council as a representative to my academy and I plan on holding this position.

-I am very involved in JSA (Junior State of America) and I am likely to become chapter president and I may hold a position in my region/state. I am very interested in politics (democrat).

-I plan on having about 150-200 volunteer hours by the time I graduate.

-I am on my district high school wrestling team, as the school I go to does not have one. I previously played other sports, but decided to focus on just one for high school.

bump. can someone please help me?

post your own thread your stealing mine.

Bumparinoo

People just aren’t interested in chancing sophomores- maybe come back next year, OK?

I know lol, my whole perspective on college might be different in a year too.

its hard to chance a sophomore in high school because you have a lot of “mights” _______. plus you dont have your SAT or ACT scores so its hard.
