Best of luck dyu123, hard to know. As you say, your ACT is low, but my daughter’s SATs were her weak point last year and she made it in ED. I don’t really understand the weighting on your GPA given 2 AP classes, but each school does it differently. Overall your unweighted GPA seems strong, and your SATs are good. I believe you have a chance in spite of the ACT.

To dyu123 and other applicants.

I’d advise when taking the ACT, wait to receive your test results before sending them to any school. The ACT allows this. That way when your results aren’t the best it won’t “hurt” you. you can always send the ACT results later.

dyu - your SAT’s are much better. what was your SAT writing score? GW uses all 3 for admission consideration. I don’t know if GW admissions will look negatively on your ACT scores or not. They always say they take the “best” standardized test scores.

As for the SAT’s - some colleges now require “all” the SAT scores to be sent and don’t participate in “score choice”. I think GW wants to see all SAT’s taken.

So, for the ACT takers - wait until you see your scores before you acknowledge or send them to colleges.

I realize this is a little late advice for dyu123.
