I'm a high school senior who is applying to 10 schools:
UCLA
UCSB
UCSD
Virginia
Maryland
Washington
Northeastern
Clemson
UNC
Michigan

I'm an Asian female from Southern California.

I have a 4.41 GPA out of 4.0 (honors classes are out of 5 points, regular classes are out of 4 points), ranked 9th in my class, and a 2230 SAT score (with a 1490 reading/math). I'm planning on retaking the SAT in November, though. I've taken 4 AP tests so far, scoring a 5 in Calculus and English Language and a 4 in US History and European History.

I'm involved in my church and my school a lot. I have gone on multiple mission trips, both domestic and international, with my church. I'm on the leadership team at a youth group that numbers over 600 high school students. I have been in the youth orchestra there for 6 years and taught sunday school for 7.

I was in cross country for two years, but I had a scheduling conflict (along with knees that require surgery), so I'm not running this year. However, when I was i was a scholar athlete both years, Team's Scholar Athlete both years, and JV MVP my sophomore year. I'm in the top choir of 6 at a performing arts magnet school and have been since sophomore year. I have been alto sectional leader since junior year and this year I am president. I was the junior representative on the NHS executive board last year. The past two years I have been vice-president of our college club. I was in Rotary Top 100 all four years. I was in the mentoring program since sophomore year, while being a team leader the past two years. I have been in the Christian Club all 4 years and a part of the bible study junior and senior year. I was AP Calculus student of the year and now tutor AP Calculus students this year. Lastly I was publicity head for prom committe last year.

I know a lot of this seems irrelevant, but I have been very involved at my high school, particularly sophomore-senior year. Any comments and persepective would be appreciated.
