Male, Asian American
Public school

SAT I' s:
1950, I hope it will improve to 2000+. I took the Dec. 2nd test and it looks like i've only missed 6 or 7 questions total so far...so I am hoping for a 2000+.

GPA UW/W:
3.46/ 3.88 - Ouch I know...took the hardest possible classes all at the same time, killed my GPA. I guess you could say that I am the kid that got the B's and few A's without even studying. I have learned from my mistakes in HS and I will take my new attitude for school into me where I go to college.

Rank:
Top 10%, 35/500

Courseload:
13 AP classes, about 3 C's all together in 12 AP classes so far(Trimester schedule).

ECs:
Piano 7 yrs
Drums 7 yrs
JV Tennis (10,11)
Varisty Tennis (12)
Tutoring (1 yr)
Chess club (1 yr)
Ping Pong Club
Volunteering at my church doing fund raisers and other things (+200 hours)
Church youth group secretary (10th)
Church youth group VP (11th)
A few others as well, but im more focused on statistics right now.

As you can see, the majority of the EC's are not really school oriented, but instead related with church. I really hope this does not absolutely kill me, but hopefully I can add something in the essays that show my passion for my faith in God.

Employment:
None

Personal hobbies/interests:
Play drums for my church praise and worship team which takes around 5 hours a week to prepare for. Besides music as being one of my major hobbies, I do enjoy computer programming and anything related to the computer.

I plan to major in either biochemistry or biology (pre-med) at whatever colleges I get accepted to. Then hopefully apply to a top ranked medical school for graduate admission.

Schools:

John Hopkins University
Northwestern
University of Washington
Oregon State University
University of Oregon
University of Rochester
New York University (May not apply anymore)
Pepperdine University
Baylor

I might apply to another school if anyone can suggest a school with a strong pre-med program, and that I may have a chance to still get into (and apply if it is not too late). But with these schools, be honest. I know I can probably get into UW, OSU and OU and Pepperdine is a Christian college, having and a good testitmony as the essay will help me for admissions. But I really want to go to University of Rochester.

Thanks for your input in advance.
