Is your Weighted GPA, your UC GPA? https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
Please post capped weighted and fully weighted UC GPA.
Intended major?
SAT II Subject tests?
I’d say that your GPA is very strong, as well as your extra curriculum. The thing that you need to consider when applying is your personal statement. When other applicants become a factor, then the decisions Admission among teams becomes challenged by everyone’s strong GPA. Personal essays will probably be the most crucial when considering getting into schools like UCSD.
This also works just as well with any other UC school!
@Gumbymom Yes, the weighted GPA is 10-12 same with the unweighted. Both are 10-12 and I’m taking subject tests in August so… My intended major is Biology or biomedical engineering
In general, Bioengineering will be a tougher admit than Biology. Assume UCLA/UCB are Reach schools but you are a competitive applicant.
Both Bioengineering and Biology are capped/ impacted majors at UCSD so select one as your first choice and a non-capped major as an alternate. UCI/UCD and UCSB would be your target/match schools. UCSC/UCR/UCM are low match/safety schools. As stated above, to set yourself apart from all the high stat applicants, spend time on your personal insight essays.
Best of luck.
