<p>Hello! I am a 17 year old Virginia resident who is looking at Bryn Mawr, Barnard, NYU, Temple, William and Mary, UVA and American (I've only visited american tho)</p>

<p>GPA: 3.85 W as of the end of sophomore year (it's hopefully higher now)</p>

<p>SAT score: 1880 but working to raise it to around 2100 </p>

<p>Schedule for Junior Year:
IB English 1 HL
IB HoTA HL
IB Latin HL
IB Theory of Knowledge
Physics
Precalc
Economic & Personal Finance (requirement for my county)</p>

<p>I am getting an IB Diploma, as you can probably tell-- does that count for anything for these colleges?</p>

<p>Here are my ECs as well (years are predicted as of senior year): Drama Dept. (4 years; costumes, cast, director, as well as general stuff), Poetry Club (2 years; went to many a competition and did fairly well too), Volunteer at the school's writing center as well as VP(2 years ), GSA (2 years), Volunteer at Senior Center with my dog (2 years), Honor Roll (3 years), National Latin Honors Society, Latin Club (4 years)</p>

Barnard: No idea
NYU: Low Reach-Reach
Temple: No idea
William and Mary: Match
UVA: Match
American: No idea</p>

<p>IB diploma helps, ECs are strong(er) (especially since you have a few that you’ve been with for awhile), and you have a leadership position which is good! </p>

<p>In state is where you’ll probably excel due to you being in state (raises your chances).</p>

<p>Not sure about the others, but this is only if you can get at least a 2100 on your SAT. besides that, your ECs are solid so write great essays.</p>

<p>@sloth83 thank you! i am a pretty talented essay writer and am planning on majoring somewhere in the liberal arts, so this isn’t a concern for me :)</p>

<p>That course load is great! Make sure to score high on your standardized tests and try to show passion in your EC’s and you’ll do fine!</p>
