As long as you have a nice personality in the interviews and good recs I think you have a great chance!! The only neg I see on your list is that you need FA. I would check to make sure all the schools on your list are need blind. I know andover and exeter are need blind.

Wow. I’m POSITIVE you’ll get into at least 5. Are you sure you don’t want to cut back on the number of schools you’re applying to?

are you sure? PLEASE NOTE: I’m applying for JUNIOR YEAR.

Honestly i’m not very sure if i stand a good chance. maybe you mistook me for a middle schooler?

4 APs is phenomenal for a Sophomore, at least at my school where they only offer 1 AP to tenth graders. That GPA is great, especially with the classes you are taking. EC’s are good as well, the whole fluent in 4 languages thing is pretty cool.

You are definitely a great candidate, but 11th grade admission is pretty tough at top schools. If the interviews went well then just relax and wait till March 10 like the rest of us =]

Is it really that hard to get into Junior year? i thought that the bulk of the applicants are from middle school and 9th grade

I think you have a great chance at any of these schools. Your speech and debate team will be very useful at Hotchkiss (we have the best team in the US and our captains have been in the top 5 in the world) so that will be a major plus particularly if you win something. Good luck !
