Hello, I’d like to start with saying I know that nobody can give me a straight answer, that top colleges are lottos, etc. I have applied RD to Cornell, Dartmouth, Stanford, USC, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, Notre Dame, and NYU.

Essays:
- 4 letters of rec, should be good
- Wrote about photography, a certain picture/moment that changed me as a person for my overall common app essay
- Tried to be creative as possible and focused on each school during my supplements, had my father (went to MIT and Harvard, so should be a good writer) edit them and did a final check over, I spent a lot of time on each of them, I think they should be good
I know it’s a “crap-shoot”. I know my GPA and scores aren’t good. I know that odds are against me. But is there a chance? What about transferring after Freshmen year from UMich to one of these? I feel that these universities (especially Ivy League) would give me a head-start after college, and that they will push me in ways unimaginable in order to improve myself. So, what are my chances?
*Applied undecided to all, except for the ones that don’t allow it, which I put down Astronomy because I’m interested in space
*My high school doesn’t weigh honors classes and APs are on 5.0 scale
