I’ve already posted a chance me thread in this forum, but since senior mid-year grades have closed, I figured I would try again.

Essays: should be good
Rec: haven’t read, but should be good also
Supplement: Did the dinner with GW, counselor thought it was good
I also had an alumni interview that I think went well
Thanks for looking!
It looks like you’ve done the dinner and interview since your last post- both are great things to do in order to show interest. I’d say your chances are better but you still need to write a great essay. If GW is really the school you wish you attend you need to sell it. Why GW and not some other school? You should be able to answer that question very convincingly on your app.
Good luck!
@NHuffer I’m confused, the commonapp only had 1 supplemental essay and it was a choice between the dinner, why GW, and another one that I don’t remember. Do you mean that I should have addressed GW specifically in my Commonapp personal statement?
Oh I’m sorry- I totally misunderstood the dinner. For whatever reason I thought you had an actual dinner with a GW counselor (didn’t notice that comma separating the too, lol). So yeah, nevermind about the ‘why GW’ essay. I keep forgetting that the essay formats are different from when I applied in 2007
Ohhh, yeah I also forgot that the supplements were different when you applied, I should have made that more clear. The supplement was something like “If you could have dinner with George Washington, what would you say and what would you want to learn”.
