I'm currently at the end of my junior year in high school.

GPA: 4.08

SAT: 1790

Rank: 37/641 (top 6%)

Community Service: 1400 hours

Started my own club at school (film club)

Clubs: President of my film club, active member of my class, HOSA (Health Occupations of America, competition in health-related events), UIL, National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society.

Ethnicity: Hispanic

Class Rigor: All AP

Special: I am a part of my school's medical program--8th graders are tested and 120 out of about 800 make this four-year program.

Also--do you think I could make the Rice-Baylor Medical program?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the Rice-Baylor medical program favors in-staters (because of Baylor’s med school); if you’re out-of-state, you’re out of luck.

Raise that SAT score. Are you not taking any subject tests? Otherwise, your ECs look okay. The special med program you have is definitely a plus. What about leadership/accomplishments in NHS or awards from UIL?

I’m taking SAT Subject Tests on May 4th, SAT again on June 8th, and the ACT on June 1st.

No leadership accomplishments in NHS, but in UIL I’ve gotten 1st place in several invitational meets in Prose & Poetry. I’ve gotten the “all-star cast” and “honorable mention” awards in UIL One-Act Play at least two times each, and was an OAP officer last year. My being president of my club is my third time being officer–I was also an officer for my school’s drama club.
