junior in high school! we have about 3000 kids total so it's a bit harder to distinguish yourself. with that in mind-
high school gpa out of 5 point scale: 4.3 (i know.. weak.. the average GPA that got in from my school ED the past four years was about a 4.4-4.5, around 4.7 for regular)
SAT: 2290 SAT first time around, 2260 second time. 2380 superscore
extracurriculars: senior dance companies five days a week, opinions editor on school newspaper (landed the position for EIC next year!), job at local dance wear store two days a week, president/founder of classic literature club, vp of community service club, involved in other community service organizations (over 150 hours total). last summer I went to brown's precollege program for a couple weeks, and i'll probably work two jobs this summer + dance camp
essays: writing is my strongest asset, but i haven't written them yet so N/A. i might write about my lifestyle change to vegetarianism etc
recs: i have guaranteed rec from APUSH teacher and i need another formal...
classes: with senior year in mind i will have taken 11 AP courses (out of 23 offered) and honors in all core academics, as well as extra english and social studies classes and required arts credits

would i have a shot if i did ED to brown? please be honest because i DO NOT want to do it for a college that would be a futile effort and waste it. my gpa isn't the highest and i could have taken slightly higher classes (ex. taking calc ab instead of bc right now) and I'm at a competitive high school, so i don't know how much that damages me. i live in an area that would allow me to have an interview. i could ED some other good college where i knew i could get in, like johns hopkins (their average GPA ED was like a 4.1).. but brown is my dream school. WHAT DO!!

edit: specific how? I've had mostly A's and some B's (never had a B- final grade or lower) but i've taken a bunch of extra non honors classes that drag down my gpa (video 1-3, photo 1+2, journalism, etc) when my other friends would just take opens so they have higher gpas.
also just noting that the APs that I've taken are us history sophomore year, calc ab, biology, and gov/comparative. next year i'm taking psych, euro, physics b, calc bc, spanish, english lit, and econ.
thank you for the answer!
