Chance me/ should I try??

Hey,
So obviously I have to make my own decision whether to transfer or not but I would love some advice. I am currently at student at Stanford (about to be a junior) with these stats:
GPA: 3.58
One year of rowing
VERY Diverse course load
Volunteered in East Palo Alto (tutoring under privileged children)

Over the summer:
Took a class at Harvard (Leadership)

High School:
3.6 GPA
2340 SATs
SAT IIs : 760 MATH (BC..the harder one) 730 Chemistry, & 690 History
Rowed for 13 seasons + Captain of Crew team, rowed in Head of the Charles etc..

Personal/Other:
Spent three years living in Thailand, fluent in Thai, some French, Volunteered a little

I would like to transfer to Harvard and have a good idea for the essay (talk about a desire for more diversity, corny but I can make it really good I think).

I wonder whether this is really a good idea. I would have to take a year off and am a little worried about getting out of the school groove. But I was also thinking I could work, do part time school, or learn another language like vietnamese which shouldn't be too bad given my Thai background. I could also go to grad school at Harvard (/attempt to) and just finish out school where I am.

I'm just not super happy where I am and think I would really enjoy Harvard better. Thanks.

Umm, Well I personally think its kinda stupid to transfer from Stanford to Harvard. Harvard isnt that much more diverse than Stanford, beside your GPA is a little to low. Save yourself the time, Stanford is one of THE best universities in the world

Yeah I guess. I just feel like Harvard is a lot more international. I don’t know if it is, it just feels that way, I am taking summer classes there now so it might be different.

Anyone else with an opinion?

You stats seem kinda low for transferring, same with your ecs. Stanford is a really great school, and I am not sure you could make the argument that you could get something different out of Harvard than you are getting out of Stanford, and taking a year off may hurt your studies. Are you a very good rower, one that Harvard would recruit as an athletic transfer for their rowing team? Your chances would still be low because their rower would have to be injured and they would most likely recruit someone as a freshman. Unless, of course, you are an exceptional rower that every team wants.

If I were you I would focus on my studies as much as possible, get the best gpa possible, do more ecs and some internships, and focus all my effort on being the best graduate applicant to Harvard. What are you interested in for the future such as a career or a graduate study you want to pursue?

what an idiot

^^^^^Hahaha

Jeez, even course loads have to be diverse these days.
