<p>My chances thread for Cornell:</p>

<p>HS: large public school in CA/ so far ranked 1 out of class of about 500.
GPA: 4.0/4.0; 4.3 weighted
SATI: 780 M/ 800 V/ 740 W- 2320 total
SATIIs: French - 760; Chemistry- 790; Math II- 800
APs: 8 total by the time I graduate (Currently taking 4)
Currently a junior, set to apply to my dream school since freshman year! </p>

<p>Some of my ECs (excluded a few items and my awards for anonymity):
- Class Vice-Prez sophomore year
- City youth orchestra concertmaster
- President of school's volunteer club...more than 300 hours of volunteer service around the community
- Summer research program- selected as one of 20 out of 200 applicants...Siemens Westinghouse semifinalist
- Amateur writer - published in online and printed poetry and fiction magazines (not anything big name but it's an accomplishment for me)</p>

<p>I'm pretty good at writing and expect to write a really good essay. Not sure about my recommendation letter writers since I'm still a junior, but I am close with at least one of my teachers.</p>

<p>I'm also applying to Washington University in St. Louis, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Dartmout, and a few others.</p>

if I had to tell you to improve on anything at all it would be EC (even though they are already great), you do any sports or anything?</p>
