Chance me--some high ranking university

I'm a junior, I've attended two schools.
My first high school, I admit, was a pretty underfunded school that had no academic excellence whatsoever. I applied to a selective enrollment school my sophomore year and I was accepted. So here I am, at some college prep high school with some gold award thing and it's hard here, like I expected. I'll probably write about the social/academic change in the essay. I'm hoping to do way better second semester.

now for the stats:

gpa: 3.4545/4.0 --suffered my first year at the college prep
all classes at the college prep are given at the honors level,
at my old school all my classes were taught at an honors level besides electives.

rank: school does not rank

pursuits: engineering/physics (general)

haven't taken the ACT or SAT and my old school lost my PSAT and other test scores sighs

extra curriculars:

*Math Team: freshmen to present
*Member of National Hispanic Institute: freshmen to present (yes, I am Hispanic)
*Physics BOUNCE with MIT: sophomore summer (MIT undergrads that graduated from my old hs came back to teach us what they've learned)
*Youth Scholar's Program in Number Theory @ U of C: Junior school year
*Saturday Morning Physics @ Fermilab: Sophomore year, Junior Year
*Drama/Stagecraft: freshmen to present
*National Honors Society: inducted sophomore year

I'm planning on attending a summer enrichment program. I applied to MIT MITES and I'm pretty sure I have a set internship at Fermilab. Both last six weeks but I'd prefer MIT MITES anyway.

As for college, I'm honestly undecided. I try to not make Ivy Leagues my everything but that seems to be the case. At least until I find a fitting place for me and my academic pursuits. I used to really want to attend MIT (so hard) but then I realized you would have to have straight A's since Kindergarten.

Tough to guess until you take your SAT’s.

lmao. Untrue. But even if it wasn’t, what makes MIT so special? Ivy Leagues, especially if you’re thinking along the lines of HYP, are just as hard if not harder to get into than MIT. Not that what you’ve listed so far makes you all that competitive at any school on their calibre.

well your gpa won’t be at the top of any top university’s stats but that isn’t a giant issue. Until you get some standardized tests scores it’ll be hard to give any chances. just keep working hard! you’re definitely not out of the running.
