Are there any schools I have not listed above which I would be competitive for, and are good for Finance/Economics?

I will chance back!

Lots of public universities with OOS tuitions and very different schools.
For the UC’s your UW GPA’s are low. They look at 10th and 11th grades.
The UC’s will not give any financial aid to OOS students. Can you afford $60K per year?
Your EC’s are spreading you thin. It’s quality, not quantity that the uni’s want.

The GPA I postev would be my 9-11th grade GPA. Also, could you clarify what you mean by “spreading it thin?”

State schools (except UC schools, esp. Asian OOS) should be good matches. UMich (Ross) in particular could be a good target. The Ivies or Tufts/NU/CMU are always “reach” for almost everyone - but you have a shot, esp. if you can push your SAT towards 1520-1550 area. You have many awards, but maybe spreading a bit thin. Some of those top schools don’t give a crap… with b-school like focus, you should put a more weight in the National Economic Challenge awards. The Model UN stuff are interesting but don’t add much but you can have some recent ones listed… volunteering is fairly pedestrian but they probably would not be much an issue given your list of awards. For competitions you didn’t win, it’s ok to mention for lower tier schools, but tippy top ones, better off to keep the focus on things you won. JMHO…

@BigflowerSusie

Michigan is not a “target” school. OP is from one of the most competitive states. It is a reach.

Rutgers, MSU, Indiana, Miami should admit you. Indiana is the best of that group for business. California and Michigan public colleges do not consider your race, which will work in your favor. LACs like Swarthmore and Haverford typically have more female than male applicants, also in your favor.

Your GPA is a little low for the most competitive schools in the bunch. I’d apply ED to Wharton, EA to the publics and try to improve your ACT a bit. The science score is way off your other ones and a few point improvement is within your ability to change.

I just post my opinion based on what I saw with my students in past many cycles. That said, everyone is different, The OP may other have stuff in the application to make or break the decision. Based on the stats and types of awards posted, I see what I see… and that’s it. No magic to it. JMHO.
