Chance Me to University of Virginia?

I know these don’t really determine if I get into the school or not, but I would like some input. Also, I pretty much think I have an extremely hard chance of getting in and I know people say “don’t think like that,” but I’m trying to be as realistic as possible. I really want to get in though!

Yes, I do realize my GPA is low for UVA.

Also if you have a list of schools that I would have a better chance at, please share. I also liked Wake Forest, University of Miami, and Washington and Lee University.

I’m not sure how weighted GPA’s work at other schools, so I can’t really comment on that, but I think you’re doing a great job with your class rank, so that definitely helps. As long as your test scores are within the range, I think you’ll be just fine. Good luck!

If you don’t mind me asking, did you have to pay for the trip to Japan?

How did you end up doing on ACT/SATs?

Your GPA isn’t low. It just depends how your school weights them! I think you have a really good chance. I just need to see your SAT/ACTs

Chance back?

Just be sure to correct the typo on your application- “principal” not “principle.” Good luck and remember OOS is very competitive. Focus on your essays.

There’s one thing that you need to understand about UVA before applying, It doesn’t matter how good you are if there is someone else in your area better applying as well. If you are not in state I would rank UVA as hard as IVY league schools. That being said, your ec’s are pretty good, but would need actual score to give a better estimate

You’ve done really well- just make sure to highlight thigs like German Club and German Honor Society that you’re involved in so that you can paint a more cohesive picture.

@hyungiwosotha @RoadTriptoCollege2017 @JasonMath @GAB444 OMG I just realized I still had this account LOL. sorry i have not logged on since the summer. Do you guys still want me to chance back? It might be too late lol! And thanks for responding! I actually got QuestBridge Finalist and was able to apply to UVA EA through the program, will find out my decision soon!! Will update! But if I get in, financial aid from being a QB finalist will make the school affordable. I ended up applying to 13 other schools on QuestBridge, UVA is no longer my first choice (it’s still up there) I’ll be stoked if I can get in. WISH everyone graduating this year with the best of luck! Keep in touch, I wanna know what schools you guys got into!
