chance me to USC

what major should i go in to USC as transferring from a community college?

My GPA right now is around the 3.5/3.6 range and i am attending a california community college . i want to be a pharmacist and idk what major i should go in as....but first and foremost i want to get accepted in to USC i dont care what major i get accepted as, i just wanna get in to USC! i was thinking of going in with a major that is less competetive (idk if its a good idea)?

what are my chances and please help me on what majors i should go in as????

:(

To become a pharmacist, I would assume chem and bio to be the go-to majors. And 3.5/3.6 is fine depending on your courseload and your class standing (e.g. freshman or sophomore). The acutal USC transfer GPA is 3.625ish (according to the Santa Barbra CC power point) so you should stay as close or above that as possible.

Check your CC's articulation agreement with USC.

yes, Im not sure though with my GPA being a 3.5/3.6 that it would be competetive enough with other transfer because i heard that going in with a science major such as bio or chem is very competetive. i was thinking maybe computer science as a major going in and minor in maybe chem? (i just want to get accepted lol)

Apply under chem or bio- whichever interests you most. Both majors are under the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences- which most people regard as the "easiest" college to get into. You're accepted by school, not major, so putting that as your major won't harm you.

I think it's stupid when people just apply "to get in" and not their desired major. If you're not even confident enough to apply under something you're passionate about, why are you even applying... just for the title? I know a guy who did that in order to transfer in (his major was in a harder school) and he never got into his major and eventually transferred out and just wasted money.

Also- Computer science is in the engineering school, so it would probably be harder than chem or bio.

thank you guys!!! helped me alot!!! yeah im gonna go in as a chemistry major, if i dont get accepted ill just go to a UC because i have guarantee admission to UC's because i am a california community college transfer

I heard that Biology is a time consuming major. If you put that major down, be prepared to study many hours.

I've heard pre-med, biology, and international majors spend many hours in the library.
