I know my EC's are weak. (they arent engineering related)

Regardless, Berkeley will be a reach (very selective in admissions. Your GPA hurts and your SAT doesn’t help). Cal Poly is a high match (Cal Poly is very selective in engineering, and without any writing section, that GPA will hurt your chances). I’d be very surprised if you didn’t make it into Virginia Tech. Georgia Tech looks like a high match (again, your GPA doesn’t help.) I can’t comment on UIUC as I don’t know how much EC’s will factor in (although, given the fact that UIUC focuses on much more than just engineering, I assume they will help you out especially with 500 hours of service. USC is a high match especially with your legacy. I think you should apply regular in order to raise your UW GPA.

I will only comment on the California schools:
Cal Poly SLO/UCB: Reach (GPA not competitive)
USC: High Match (due to Legacy)
You should consider Cal Poly Pomona and San Jose State if you are a California Resident. Both schools would be a Match.
Good Luck and work on that GPA.

@iwantivy8888 no, i understand that its a good school, but i thought i had like a 30-40 percent chance. the way you say it, it seem like I have no chance at all. i mean, its not like harvard or stanford level. its a good school, but it still has a 32 percent acceptance rate right?
