Chance me? UC Santa Cruz

This is my first post on this board although I've been on this website for more than a year :P

I am a current junior living in California and I want to go to UC Santa Cruz to major in computer science. My ethnicity is Asian Indian (if that matters).

Weighted GPA: 3.65
Unweighted GPA: 3.5

ACT: 23 (will retake. I generally received scores around a 30 on my practice tests)
SAT: waiting for scores to come in later this month

I am taking the most rigorous course anyone in my school can take. By the end of my senior year i should have taken 12 AP classes.

Extracirriculars:
School marching, concert and jazz band all throughout high school
volunteer at the library every week
Help elderly with computers during spare time
Have taken piano lessons for 8 years and take ABRSM Music Tests
Varsity Track and Field
Vice president for school guitar club
Treasurer for school academic decathlon team

I know I am not anything too special but just wanted to know if i can get into UC Santa Cruz. Other schools i am going to apply to are UC berkeley, UC davis and San Jose State, all in comp. sci.

Any help is appreciated :)

Take special note on the application deadline for SJSU-
It will be November 2011, not Dec.
Also if you a resident of Santa Clara County, you will get preferential acceptance over non residents.

For SJSU do you think a 3.6 weighted and say a… 1900 on the SAT or a 30 on the ACT would be in good standing with them?

I have also taken a subject test in chemistry and got 690. I am taking Math ii in May hopefully getting a 720+ on it.

I am a resident of the Alameda county

I think SJSU would be a reasonable safety for you with those numbers.
Just get the application in early, with CA funding in jeopardy they may limit the number of applications.
Your resident CSU is CSUEastBay.
Sorry.

Thanks for the help guys. Anyone else care to chance me into UCSC?
