Chance me UIUC Business?

Hi,

I’m a junior in high school with a 3.7UW and a 3.9W (Lower because of a legitimate personal reason end of freshman year/start of sophomore year). I have a 33 ACT and I am at a very good school in the Chicago suburbs. There has been an upward trend in my grades. I have taken/will take 10 honors, 4 AP’s and I will have taken 7 AP tests. My letters will be great, and I am an awesome writer.

My EC’s:
-Piano for 11 years (includes playing for choir, recitals, a banquet at UIUC)
-2 varsity sports
-100 hours of community service
-Art club
-I’m in a band
-I started and run a club
-Community theatre (acting, helping with set construction, playing in the pit, lights…)
-Choir
-UIUC summer enrichment program
-Notre Dame summer enrichment program
-Interned at an accounting firm

I would appreciate any feedback

(also, chance me for Notre Dame, UWisconsin-Madison, Indiana University and Miami of Ohio?)

Bump

Obviously nothing is guaranteed, but I would be very surprised if you did not receive acceptance from Madison. Your ACT score is above the average the UIUC Business students report, so I’d say you have a pretty solid chance. You fall in roughly the lower mid-50% for Notre Dame so I’d say that one can go either way, you have a good shot at Miami of Ohio, and there’s also a good chance for Indiana. Your GPA might be a little low for those schools but you have the ACT score and you have decent ECs, so I’d say you’ll do fine.

I’d say you’re a shoo-in at UIUC, Miami, and Indiana. Wisconsin should definitely be an admit too. Hard to say for Notre Dame, you have an ok chance I think.

I applied to the same schools as you with similar stats, I got 11k from Indiana (max for out of state Dean’s Scholarship), and everything I’ve heard indicates that Kelley is far better than UIUC’s business school. Good luck!!

@badgers21 @jpamsel thanks guys! I’m mainly looking at UIUC because it’s in-state and close to home, plus a ton of my classmates are probably going to end up there, too. Madison because it’s close to Cascade or Devil’s Head and it’s an even shorter drive than UIUC with an awesome program. UIUC is my first choice, with Madison as a second. Thanks for chancing me!

I would love any other responses

Anyone?
